It was always a sweet surprise to enter our church on some week day, to hear Lester practicing his bagpipe - "where it wouldn't bother anyone."

He was a gentle giant of a man, and I know that our former congregation will always remember both Lester, and Beverly, with much love.

Sincere condolences to Doug and Don, and to all their cherished family. May our loving Lord send you comfort, until we are reunited in His perfection.

I'm saddened to learn of Lester's passing. In fact, as always, I've been sending "Les" e-mails right through to this afternoon as I didn't know of his death. I worked with Lester at Northeast Utilities for years and I "thought the world" of him. I will never forget him.
