Lester DeKoster

I remember Lester as a fine and energetic teacher with a ready wit, strong opinions, and a wide smile.

Ruth you and your Les have taught us so much about Gods love. Your friendship has been such a blessing and we pray for your loss. We love you and wish your family peace in such a difficult time.

He was my teacher and mentor at South High School, one of my few "young" teachers. I don't know what he had that made me listen, but I did and he inspired me to pursue one of my greatest loves... "reading". I'm sure teachers often wonder if restless inattentive and overly energetic students ever hear their message and move on to successful endeavors; in my case "Mr. DeKoster" did not fail. Here I am at 78 years of age living in another city having achieved more than I ever dreamed of because...
