LESTER WADE DICKSON, age 79, a lifelong resident of Irving, Texas, died November 11, 2004 at an Irving nursing center. He was born March 26, 1925 in Hollis, Oklahoma. In 1967, Wade opened Dickson Salvage. He was known as a “wheeler dealer.” He bought and sold everything from C ration crackers to a train engine. After twenty years, he retired in 1988. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Vivian Dossett Dickson of Irving; his children, Linda Beckelman and husband Mike of Colleyville, Jerry Dickson of Fort Worth, Toni Strickland and husband Anthony of Plano, Kim Fritz and husband Joe of Colleyville and Marlon Dickson and wife Terri of Keller; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Graveside service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2004 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
