Not sure what to say?

To this day I haven´t forgotten not one bit the responsibilities that you entrusted me with.

What your Father did for me, was more worthy than meeting the President or getting my diploma. He got mad sometime because of my irresponsable behavior, but he never let me down. It is truly an honor to have met a man of his character. May he rest in parce. Like I always wanted to say about him, but never really did... It must be Noël.

A dear friend I never got to know

My deepest condolences to the Hoel family. Grateful to be have spent time with Lester. He was an amazing man.

Although we had only known Lester for a few short years, we knew immediately that we were meeting a man of great intellect. He could discuss anything with us, always with a chuckle and a twinkle in his eye. He will be sorely missed by so many of us. Our love to all of his family. Sally & Bill Swanson

We are so grateful for the special friendship of his loving family in whose lives he played an exceptional role! We send heartfelt condolences

My deepest sympathies and love to the family. It was a privilege to have been associated with Les throughout my entire academic career from graduate student to retirement. He inspired all he worked with to be their best through his professional intellect and institutional knowledge in working with local, state and the federal government agencies: and involvement with professional societies. Peace be with you!

It was a privilege to see Lester and his family one last time in Charlottesville, April 2022. May you Rest In Peace
