Lester Jasper

I miss Mr. Lester Jasper. He was the kindest, most loving man. He and Frazine were always such a beautiful addition to the congregation at our church.

Mr. Jasper was the kindest man I have ever met. I knew him and his wife from church and loved seeing them every time. I think of them often.

Lester inspired many of us in the Silver Sneakers Class at Defined Fitness in Abuquerque. Just the meer presence of this 90 year old gentleman gave all of us the incentive to do better. His smiling face and positive attitude were greatly missed when he moved to Nevada. My phone calls to him always found him happy and in a positive frame of mind. Lester was a true southern gentleman. A patient, loving man with a wonderful sense of humor. Lester was the only human being who could persuade Frazine to do anything different then what she was thinking! I always enjoyed my time with Lester, he enriched everyones life.

Our dear friend Lester has transitioned to a better place, and we know we will see him again some day. His famous saying as to how he lived a long blessed life always was, "Just stay away from negative people!" We still have the cactus he gave us in the late 1990s growing in our yard. When we moved we took a cutting with us, and have also given many cuttings to friends. They are all known as the "Lester Cactus". They still live and will be with us for ever just like our good friend...
