Not sure what to say?

Dear Geri, Joe(Jr) and Mr and Mrs Matey,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family, at the loss of Lester. I cannot imagine your saddness, to have lost him in the prime of his life. Having gone through school with Lester from kindergarten to high school graduation, I can only remember nice things about him. God bless your family.

Was truly a person who walked the walk and talked the talk. When ever I spoke to him, you had a way of knowing he was sincer and honest in everything he said. After he would leave You couldn't help thinking what a trustworth person he must be.

Geri and Family,
Your have our deepest sympathy and our prayers. My brother, John, was very good friends with Les throughout high school. We pray for comfort and healing to all of you. God Bless You.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Matey family,Although I did not know Lester I have fond memories of his brother Joe. May you rest in peace with our Lord.
Dennis Weilamann brother in Christ

Gerri, Becky, Jenny, Sara,
We were so sorry to hear about Mr. Matey. Though there are no words sufficient to comfort at this time we want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with your family. May you rest in the peace that only God gives.
Love,
Bob, Jenny, Sarah and Robbie Wallace

Mr. Matey, as I prepared to pack my suitcase to catch my early flight to New Jersey on Thursday morning, I remembered when I was a little girl staying at your house to spend the weekend with my best friend, Becky and we were getting ready to go to church. We, of course, were being girls, me a little prissier than most. You told us, “Girls, it’s not a beauty pageant.” You are right, it’s not.

My childhood is all I have thought about for the past nights and days since my daddy...

Dear Gerri and Family:
Words cannot describe the loss that you and your family have suffered. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sad time.
Maryann (Davis) Perry

I was so shocked and deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Lester was a man cut from the finest cloth. There are few others I know as patient, gentle, humble, honest, and kind. He was a true man of God, a wonderful husband, and a dedicated father.
I'll never forget his warm smile and calm, steady nature. I'll never forget all the camping trips and North Carolina vacations with the Matey family. Becky, Jenny, and Sarah, you were the light in your father's eyes. He loved his girls so much...
