Dear Perry Family, My heart and prayers go out to each of you as you morn the loss of your dear dad, Lester. I have very fond memories of your dad from my childhood as he worked with my mom, Catherine Dudley in Pathology and always he called her "Miss Kitty". Even after they both retired, they both kept in touch with one another. Lester was such a kind, compassionate and gentle man and was a very hard worker. Lester was an important and legendary diener in the Department of Pathology, where he trained and aided dozens of young doctors over those many years. He was extremely hard working and had a can-do approach. He was probably the most good natured person we ever met. His moving service was equally efficient. He moved us personally and helped Melinda when she moved the Albemarle Co. Historical Society Library and offices to the historic McIntire building many years ago. Lester made a lasting...
