Lester was a dear friend and a joy to be around. We have known him for over 28 years and look forward to his visits on Wed & Sun every week. He always came over with ice cream, cake and vegetables. He had many military stories to share and he was so close to my husband (who passed recently). I am sure that Lester will see my husband (Jim) in heaven and they will reunite once again. May God provide comfort and peace to the family.

Lester was a great friend and an inspiration to my entire family. Both Lester and my father were good friends and shared their military experiences with one another. I always looked forward to Lester bringing us fresh vegetables from his garden. He was truly a devoted family man and loved his children and wife deeply. He has gone to be with GOD and reunite with my dad as well. May he rest in peace and continue to do great things in heaven. My deepest sympathy to the family! - Allison Bowers...

Bonnie and Connie and the rest of the family, I will always cherish my memories of Uncle Lester. He and has a chance to share some Army stories with each other several years ago. I would not take anything for that time with him. We both shed some tears that day. What a wonderful man he was. Wish I could be there with y'all at this time. My prayers will be for you all during this time.
