Read MoreI loved Lester and wil really miss him. His big smile and great wit was always a pleasure. We had fun as slums taking on the high school tennis teams. Lester and Chuck Wittig will tell you we never lost. I´m not sure we did. And he was a great steward of economic development for kc, mo with his piea time. Rest in peace, friend! Lester and I were fellow members on the PIEA board I enjoyed and admired Lester he was a wonderful chairman. I was chairman for five years myself , while in office I tried my best to follow his example and take his advice . As for our friendship I loved talking about the past and his love of Kansas City I do not think I have ever met a finer gentleman then Lester. I will miss him greatly . Kansas City has lost a true champion Tony Abbott.
