Not sure what to say?

My father-in-law was the best! Our family didn't get to visit as often as we would have liked, but when we did, Dad was always at the door to greet us with his warm hug and sweet smile. I will miss the cookie contests Dad and I always had at Christmas time. There was an endless supply of cookies that Mother made. Sometimes I think Mother made all those different kinds just for our contests. Of course, Dad and I had to try them all. I will also miss all the wonderful family dinners...

When broken down, the word 'grandfather' is grand + father. Papa was both of these to his family. His often quiet, yet resounding presence gave us all the support and comfort we needed. He taught me that the most true and natural things in life come from three places -- the ground, the Lord, and the heart. Papa was passionate about each and truly lived by them. Through each of these, we learned to live, play and love. As many know, one of my fondest memories are the watermelon seed...

My grandfather known as Papa will be missed. Although I never had the oppurtunity to live near him I have many wonderful memories of our times together. Altough usually quiet and calm his precence was always known. The best part of Papa was how you thought he wasn't listening but all of a sudden he said something funny and had the whole room laughing. He will surely be missed by his family.

To the Trach Family -

Having lost both my Mom and my father-in-law over the past six months, I can assure you Lester is in a better place, far happier and more comfortable than before because he's an angel able to do anything for all of you "down here". What a miracle! He's having the time of his life right now, watching over you all and keeping you safe.

Perhaps the minister at my father-in-law's funeral put it best when he said, "I can't stand doing funerals...

Les and family,

Just to let you know how sorry I am to hear about the loss of your father and wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Lester was my father-in-law for almost eight years; but in those short years, I not only had the best father-in-law you could ask for, but also a wonderful, funny, kind and caring friend whom I loved dearly. We always had a good time together and I loved to hear him tell his stories of "years ago on the farm". (My favorite story was about "Blackie" the Bull). I know he will surely be missed by all of us who knew him, but we will always have him in our hearts by repeating his humorous...

To the entire Trach Family,

Our deepest condolences during this difficult time. While we only knew Mr Trach for a short while, it was evident that his family was his greatest treasure. We know the loss will be hard to overcome, and our thoughts are prayers will be with all of you now.
