Not sure what to say?

To Paul, Denita, Dewayne & Marcus: You had a wonderful Dad. He was more like a brother to me than a brother-in-law. I will miss him so much. Joyce, may Jehovah God thru his son Jesus Christ give you the strength to endure this time of sorrow. I'm here for you. Life will never be the same. Love Ya, Lynn

SO SORRY JOYCE, LESTER WAS A GREAT GUY AND WILL BE REMEMBERED.

DIANE

Joyce:

We are so sorry to learn of your loss. Lester and you were so important in our lives. Michael (Gilmer) remembers you both and Rebecca (Weiner) and I are thankful for the year you and Lester took care of him for us. I lost Eileen this past December, but we always remembered Lesters kindness to us. He was a special person and, I am sure, will be fondly remembered by all.

Uncle Lester I want to thank you for being a special friend, uncle and father to Adam. You've moved to heaven, I shall always treasure all those weekend and holiday memories with you and auntie Joyce, what a grand couple. Rest now.

love you
Yvonne and Adam

To Lester's Family - I worked with Lester when he was a bus driver at SCAT. He raised the bar to what a good driver should be. Lester was a perfect gentleman, respectful and helpful. He will be deeply missed by those he worked with. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Joyce, may the good Lord wrap his tender loving arms around you at this time. Lester was a very good and loving husband and he always had a smile and something nice to say about everybody. He will trully be missed, my prayers and sympathy are with you in your hour of need as you go through the loss of your husband and your best friend. Look to God for your strenghth as he is always in control and will not leave you nor forsake you.

Lester, you were a good man of honor
and kept your word, we always had a fun and eat your famous bar-b-que, always a open door with a big heart. you are my friend and brother I loved you dearly for
certain we will miss you. Love you, Alice

I'm Hank Gilmore, the first cousin of Lester's wife, Joyce. I first met Lester in the early 1970's when they still lived in Los Angeles. Lester was more than just a cousin-in-law. He was a great friend and a very good person. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

My condolences to Joyce and the family and friends of Lester. He was a perfect gentleman and a great asset to South Coast Area Transit (SCAT). He was the best operator for SCAT and won many Bus Roadeos, wherein he travelled to a number of cities in the U.S. representing SCAT. He was an impeccable dresser and was a true model for everyone he worked with. He will be missed, however he will be long remembered with those that worked alongside him.
