We were unaware of her passing. So many memories of her and Uncle Butch at all Hawaiian festivities in Monterey and the Northern Bay areas. May her family life forever not be forgotten. Sons and Daughters of Hawaii will live on forever , of the good times as Ohana.

I'm deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Auntie Lei. She and her husband Butch were good friends of my Father and my Uncle. They were all from Hawaii. Seeing Auntie Lei was always cheerful because she was so kind and loved to talk and ask how I was doing or about my parents. Her kindness will always be remembered by me. Oh no, we will miss Lei so much. How much fun over the years with the Veterans of Hawaii. What a beautiful lady, great hula dancing, singing --- just a wonderful time whenever Lei was around. She will be sadly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

She was always sharing and spreading her "aloha spirit" with all of us; and those of us, feeling homesick for our native islands, always managed to find comfort just by being with her working on community projects for the VFW, American Legion, City of Marina or our adopted community here on the Monterey Peninsula.
