Lewis "Bud" Harp

Bud and I were very close friends from grade school through High School and up to the time God took him in his arms. We live close to each other in Lansing and many time walk a long way to school sharing the cold and hot weather. We took our girl friends in HS to the Senior Prom and I still have that picture... I have lost a very close friend that will always be missed.

Bud is the last cousin in our blood line,we grew up visiting in our family homes as childern. We went our seperate ways after we graduated from High School. He in the Air Force and I as a Wave in the Navy. We never lost touch, and were visited by Bonnie and Bud as they traveled through Texas. Our visit to Glendale to see his parents as we were vacationing with our childern. I have been blessed to have had him as a part of my extended family and he will be missed just knowing that I am alone...

BUD (I CALLED HIM LOUIE )....
HE WAS',.. AND IS STILL AN INFLUENCE IN THIS WORLD WE ALL SHARE. I WORKED WITH HIM AT OLD STATION #1 IN THE EARLY 1960'S.
HE HAD A WAY OF BEING HIS OWN MAN AND RESPECTED FOR JUST BEING HIMSELF. THAT SORT OF MAN CARRIES ON'.. AND THROUGH HIS CONTACT WITH OTHERS A QUIET FORCE WILL REMAIN IN OTHERS FOR A LONG LONG TIME.

Bud, a neighbor for 32 years, friend for 32 years, "2nd" father for 32 years. He will be loved and missed forever.

Bud was our x-street friend for many years. We spent many, many pleasant hours together. Two of our children are Fire Fighters due to his influence when they were growing up. He is more than a friend, he is loved. In the book of John, it tells us that Jesus said "in my house are many mansions, I go there to prepair a place for you" , Surely Bud is in his mansion. .
