CHICHESTER – Lewis B. Marston, age 78, of Suncook Valley Highway passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Pittsfield, the son of the late Gilbert and Ellen (Zinn) Marston. He was a graduate of Concord High School with the class of 1956.
Lewis was a veteran of the U.S. Naval Airforce and served during the Korean War.
He worked as a Metallurgist at Northeast Metals Technologies in Massachusetts for many years until September.
He was an avid hunter and sportsman, as well as a scorer for the Boone and Crockett Club. He was a sergeant for the Loudon Police department in the early 1970s.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret L. (Austin) Marston; his daughter, Robin Hisrch and her husband, Charles, of Virginia Beach, Va.; his sons, Daryl Marston of Lee, Maine, Bryan Marston and his wife, Laura, of Chesapeake Bay, Va., Scott Marston and his wife, Lori, of Chichester, Gary Marston and his wife, Brenda, of Epsom; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his sister Dede Hammond of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; and his brother, Lenard Marston, of Concord.
He was predeceased by his sister Paula Hammond.
Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord.
Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. in the chapel of the Waters Funeral Home. Rev. James Young will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date in the Pine Ground Cemetery in Chichester.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the CRVNA Hospice Program, 30 Pillsbury St., Concord 03301.

Margaret,I was so very sad and sorry to hear of my good friend's passing. Lew was a great person and a close friend. I will always remember the great times we spent together at work, our hunting trips and just hanging out together. I will always be thankful that I had the opportunity to get to know him and to call him my friend. Sorry for the family's loss I know there are no words to make it easier to deal with but know people are thinking of you and are in their prayers.
