Not sure what to say?

Lewis was a good friend while growing up. Nothing but fond memories of him. He was a smart kid which was overlooked by the educational system of the time. I have nothing but fond memories of Lewis Francis Shirts and his kind family while growing up on Burton Av.

I (Carl Walker) grew up with Lewis on Burton Ave, Lynwood, Ca(from 1951thru 1966. I considered Lewis my best friend during those years. He was often a crazy funny dare-devil. Once he claimed that he could put a lighted firecracker between his leather belt and Jeans and cinch it tight enough that it couldn't explode, he was wrong, all us boys were laughing at him as he was yelling (cussing) in pain. I miss those years and our adventures together. I hadn't seen Lewis since 1966 and thought of...

My sympathy goes out to the Family during this time of grief. May God's loving kindness comfort and help you through this difficult time.
Psalms 119:76

As you remember your love one, as God heals your broken hearts (Psalm 147:3), may your treasured memories bring you peace, comfort, and strength to endure.

Many wonderful memories of special times spent with Lew & Shelia, at the VFW, FMDA, Elks and 4Wheelers. He and Don had many fun trips with their Jeeps. My heart hurts for the loss of a good friend. May Sheila,Michelle,Denise and all the family feel the love of all his friends. RIP, Marine, Your duty is completed.

Psalms 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years. May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

I am very sorry for your loss, loosing a loved one is truly a heartbreaking experience, but its uplifting to know that God promises us in Isaiah 65:17 a near future in which not only wont we feel the pain of loosing a loved one anymore but we wont even remember how it felt. Our pain will be erased and we will be happy once again. JW. Org.
