Dear Meredith, Stacy and Jennifer, I was saddened to hear of your Dad´s passing and am sorry I could not have been with you for his service. Please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss. I want to share a few memories of my years with him. I worked with your Dad at Phoenix for over 25 years and during many of those years, he was my manager. I worked with your dad for many years at the Phoenix. He was a fantastic man always fair, and incredibly helpful. I also reconnected with him at Connecticut children´s where I worked for several years before retiring. I´m so very sorry for your loss, he was a wonderful man and your mom was a wonderful woman. Please except my sincere sympathy.

I am so fortunate to have had Lew as the initial guide and long term mentor in my career as an attorney in the Phoenix Law Dept. He understood law to not only require legal acumen, but grounding in a true respect for and understanding of the full lives of the people we served. I don't think I ever left his office without a smile on my face enriched by the anecdotal comments on the life of the people surrounding our work ... no matter the seriousness of the law matter at issue. We were fortunate to know Lew as our son´s father-in-law and enjoyed his company immensely as a friend. Lew was an admirable person, one who offered much to inspire and emulate. We will miss him.
