Lewis F. Spencer Jr.

Lou and I have been friends for many years. I first met Lou , after I retired from the Army in September 1990. I was working VA Work at Military Personnel, where he worked. I graduated from Athens State in 1994, and Lou was one of my instructor. Most people have a house, but I hope and pray that Lou has a Home, a home in heaven. Ervin T. Dye.

Carol, Tom and I are stunned by Lew's passing. It was always a special time when we were able to visit with you and Lew......and that was too long ago. Our thoughts, prayers and love are with you in this difficult time. Love from your cousin, Vivia Hammontree Strang-Spalding.

Lew was the best mentor I've ever had. Because of him I was able to go on to become the Adjutant General for Fort Meade because of all he taught me about taking care of Soldiers. We all will miss him greatly.

Lew was a good friend to many, and I was fortunate to be part of the group. His wisdom and genuine concern, and love for his wife, Carol, and family, were his lasting gifts to us all. As fellow pilot and friend I say "blue skies, Lew". You will be deeply missed.
