Lewis C. Tim Templeton, 59, of Topeka passed away at his home on Sunday, December 4, 2005. He was born October 16, 1946, at Gordo, AL the son of Dolphus Durell Templeton and Effie May Pearson Templeton. He moved to Moore, OK shortly after his graduation from Gordo High School and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1966. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He also attended Washburn University. He married Rheva Henry at Miami, OK in 2001. He was employed by General Foods/Quaker Oats at Topeka for 24 years. He owned and operated Templeton Roofing and Construction Co. until his death. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Joe Templeton of Emporia, Jim Steinmetz of Topeka, Deedra Lynn Snyder of Burchard, NE., Theresa Morris of Wichita, Kevin Piper of Eagle, ID, Michael Piper of Joplin, MO and Jason Piper of Topeka; 14 grandchildren; and ex-wife Gayla Templeton of Topeka. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Jean and Nona May and a brother Dolphus Durell. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2005 at Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice in care of the funeral home.
