Not sure what to say?

To Lew Urry's Family,

I had the pleasure of working with Lew in Union Carbide's Battery Products Division and at Eveready during the 1975 to 2001 time period. As a young Ph.D. scientist in the late '70's, I needed to learn the practical aspects of battery design. Lew was my teacher. I use the engineering principles he shared with me every day as I go about my present work. I think of him often, and was very sad to learn of his passing. Lew was an energetic and diligent worker,...

Kathleen, Our sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your father. We had the chance to meet him and found him very interesting and lovable person. Our prayers go to him and your family. Love from Uncle Fred and Aunt Bridget

Dear Urry Family,

My wife, Nancy, and I send our deepest sympathy. I worked with Lew for many years. He taught me more about batteries than a person should know. He exemplified what it means to be a good husband, father, and friend. He was a unique scientist and a man filled with ideas. He always had a new way to look at problems to find solutions. We shall always remember our joint gardening venture. We know you have many wonderful memories. We will think of you often and wish...

Laurie, we send our condolences to you and your entire family. I know how much your Dad meant to you. And I know how much he will be missed by all who knew him. Our prayers are with you through this time.

Nolan and Dawn Ratliff...Courtney, Brittany, Westley and Taylor

We send our condolences to your family in this time of sorrow. Your father was a well respected man who made great additions to the world that hadn't existed before, namely his fine family.

To The Urry Family,
I just wanted to send you my heartfelt sympathy in the passing of a great and wonderful man. I knew Lew and worked with him over the last 36 years. He was always kind and generous with his vast knowledge. He was a major force in the battery business, yes, but also a warm and kind human being.

Sincerely,
George B. Shook
