Lily was the secretary of Clark Lane Middle School for most of my 28 year teaching career at the school. Harold Goldberg may have been the Principal, but Lily was the person who kept the school running smoothly. She was the strength behind "the man." She was competent, forceful, organized, well-disciplined, focused, and on task at all times. She took pride in her work and loved her job and her boss.
