Obituary

Shive (Kohner), Liane age 52, of New Hope, moved home to a glorious welcome in Heaven on Nov. 15, 2005 after a long battle with diabetes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; and father, James Kohner. "We know you are with our loving Jesus and have no more suffering. We will miss you forever, dear daughter and sister. Thank you for all of your love and inspiration, dearest." She will be deeply missed by her mother, Vera (Jack) Gernes; brothers, Tim Kohner, Curtis (Shelby) Kohner, Doug (Peg) Kohner; sister, Gail (Ron) Bjorklund, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and heartfelt friends. Celebration of Life 11 AM Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 at Living Word Christian Center – 9201 75th Ave N., Brooklyn Park (763-315-7000). Cremation Society of Minnesota Brooklyn Park 763-560-3100

I was so surprised to read in the bulletin about Liane moving to heaven on Nov 15. We had not spoken in quite sometime but I had seen her & meant to stop her and say Hi. Due to a number of reasons I had been absent from church, not from the Lord however, for a number of years. When I came back, I was so encouraged to see Liane still attendidng the church. I remember Liane as a classy and happy go lucky person. I know she will be missed by her family, but she is no longer suffering with pain and is resting in a higher and peaceful place. The family has our symphathy.

I am so sorry about Liane. It was a sad surprise when I saw her obit today. May God be with you all.
I met Liane through Voyager, and she was wonderful. She always made me laugh, and she was so sweet. I loved the peace she had in Jesus, and I know she is happily dancing before the Lord.
