Not sure what to say?

Libby and me at my graduation in 2012

I met Libby as an undergraduate in 2003, and she was my adviser for my Master's and PhD degrees. In the 15 years I knew her, I learned from her so much more than mere physics. She was always an example to me of strength, perseverance, and integrity. I was honored to take her place when she retired from UF, and I try to follow her example when guiding my own students. I will miss her greatly.

Libby was a friend and a mentor to me as a graduate student at UF, as well as an inspiration for living as a person of faith. May she rest in the shadow of G-d's grace.

We are all deeply saddened and shocked by the untimely news of Libby's passing. She was a gift to all who really knew her. May her soul be at peace with Hashem.

Dr. Brateman was a fantastic physicist and an even better human being. If I have just a tenth of the impact she did on the world, I would consider myself successful. Very saddened to hear the news. I will miss her.

In Loving Memory.

Libby was such a kind, intelligent, and friendly physicist who made even our early AAPM committee meeting bearable. We bonded early since there aren't very many physics majors from birmingham Southern. I will miss her. My sincere condolences to her family.

pretend to be working

Dr. Brateman was the residency director during my residency. She was very kind and very dedicated to her work. She was a perfectionist and required us to be one too. She always taught me the details of everything including my grammar and my pronunciation of the z sound. I will always remember Dr.Brateman as a mentor, a very dedicated physicist, and a friend.

I am so thankful to have known Dr. Brateman. Such a blessing to have had her for a professor. Her counseling and generosity opened a path for me for which I will always be grateful. Wishing comfort for her family, she will be greatly missed.
