"Angels Watching Over Me" The Howard family send joy of the Spirit and heart to the family of Lt Col Silas Though family ties run deep I didn't meet my beautiful cousin Lou and her husband Lt Col Silas until early 1985. On an emergency trip from Germany with a scheduled overnight layover in Charleston, Cousin Lou rescued me and my youngest son, took us to her home where we were received with open arms and hearts. Lou, you and Col Silas could not have been more gracious. I remembered this...

May your heart be warmed just knowing your loved ones remember lives on! Let you rejoice today and be glad.

Sorry to see you fly west, old friend. You were a great mentor pilot and commander and I will miss you dearly.

Blessings to the Silas Family. Flew with Ken in the 20th MAS back in the eighties , Great pilot and friend. Also enjoyed working with Ken at Scott AFB, where he was the C-9 Squadron Commander. We kept in contact and Ken was always a positive person, he enjoyed life and was sadly taken too soon. Keep Em Flying, Ken!

I flew with Ken in Charleston in the 20th MAS. He was always a joy to fly with and a mentor. I thought the world of him and am saddened to hear of his passing. My prayers are with his family. God Bless
