Not sure what to say?

As an ex-employee of the old JC Penney store in Fairfield, I was fortunate to have become acquainted with Mr. Bill, as we called him. He was never too busy for a greeting and a smile. Always the gentleman, we all felt safer in a sometimes not-so-safe world. I, for one, was influenced by his impeccable demeanor, by his professionalism and positive attitude. and I feel blessed for having known him.

We will all miss Dorsey's gentle ways and genuine smile and now he will guard the city of Fairfield from heaven.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

Mr. Bill was not only a great neighbor but a dear freind. I shall miss his laugh and that great big smile, that would lift you up when you're feeling down. He help mold me when I was young boy growing up on 22nd street. If it is ever man who should go to glory and dwell in the house of the Lord it would be Mr. Bill.

The whole Jemison Family will truly miss our friend Lieutenant Dorsey, he would always have a smile for us and sometimes a joke. We loved him and the community of Fairfield has lost a great officer.
