Not sure what to say?

What an amazing woman! I did not know about her community involvement and so many accomplishments. I only remembered her as a neighbor to my family on Amity/Cloverdale and as my piano teacher. Special condolences to my MHS classmates, Marti Hill and Keith Kehler.

Oh behalf of Idaho State Society Daughters of the American Revolution, our deepest condolences to your family. Lila was a beloved member of our organization for over 53 years. She will be remembered for her love of local history and genealogy. She will dearly missed by so many. Barbara Grant, State Chaplain ISSDAR

Lila was a long time friend of our aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Doyle McClure. Their friendship began as neighbors in downtown Meridian. Dorothy and Lila were both members of P.E.O. ChapterBZ and treasured the preservation of Meridian´s history.

I met Lila years ago when she was a frequent visitor to the State Historical Library & Archives. She devoted countless hours to research on the history of Meridian and Ada County. Over the years we had enjoyable conversations and I relied on her extensive knowledge and long memory. I am glad that we kept in touch, I regret that I hadn't visited her recently. The last time we met, she was busily working on quilts and keeping up with her piano practice, starting each day with "Beautiful...

Lila was very helpful getting historical information for the Dairy Board. She had wonderful experiences that she shared. She was amazing.

I met Lila years ago when I was a young historian. Lila shared her knowledge and passion for Meridian's history with me. Over the years, I had the opportunity to work with her on several projects, and I always admired her love for her hometown and her ability to share information. She was the backbone of Meridian's Historical Society, and without her, so much of the town's history would have been lost. I always enjoyed my time visiting and learning from Lila. She will be greatly missed.

Lila made quilt tops that she gave to the SW Idaho Chapter of Project Linus to comfort children in health or family distress. On Linus workdays we would see her at Meadowlakes where she would turn in tops and pick up more fabric to create more quilts. We will miss seeing her.

Lila loved visiting us at our Project Linus event in the Conference room at Meadow Lake Lodge. She couldn´t wait to share all the quilts she sewed for children that needed a special comfort . She was such a delightful friend and will be missed.
