Uncle Steve, the family is so grateful for your care and love of Aunt Lila. You kept such good care of her when she needed you. You were loyal and kind to her. We will miss everyone we have lost in the family this year. We have been other challenges in front of us. May God bless and keep you close

I am so sorry to hear of Lila's passing. She was a very special person and always full of life and the joy of living. She was very gracious and kind to a very awkward teenager trying to grow up to fast. You and she both are very special to me. I will always remember her with love.

Lila along with her husband - Steffen - were regular attendees of Homewood Council and Committee meetings for dozens of years as Co-Founders of the Homewood Citizens Association. Dear Steffen,
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I have shared good memories and good meals at your home. Thanks for the memories. It always amazed me that Lila could live so well and yet control diabetes solely through nutrition. Nobody I know could do that consistently. Cudos to Lila. Underneath a soft spoken exterior, Lila was a strong woman and an inspiration. I'm very grateful to have known her.
