Not sure what to say?

I will add to her remarkable achievements that she was also a good mother, as evidenced by this memory I have of her daughter, Penny: When I was in Junior High, Penny was in a science class with me. Being stupid, gross 13- year-old boys, we decided to tease Penny, who sat in front of us. (Yes, we were this childish!) We gave her a couple of dog biscuits, insisting they were a new cookie treat, and tasted delicious. Penny (shrewd daughter of Lil that she was) quickly put one into her...

I miss you Lil. Thank you for our many conversations and sharing your spirit. Thank you for reminding me to value family. Thank you for our cooking sessions. Thank you for our conversations about our fragile planet and infinite universe. Thank you for the daily mental reminders you leave me. I will never underestimate myself or the value of a hug. Thank you for teaching me balance. Love to Penny and Janet.

One of the greatest of all time. It was an honor to be her caddy 50 years ago. We played many rounds together and it was great that my daughters and wife also got to play with Lil.
Remembering lunch at OSU GC with her the day Bo died and the breakfast she made last October at her home for my girls, my mom and me.
RIP young lady
Best wishes to the family.

"Mrs. Bernhagen," as she was known to her students more than a half century ago, was a remarkable pioneer in health education in the public schools.
She braved many tempests of controversy from parent/teacher groups and school administrations, alway with professionalism and sincere concern for the students.

For many, she was just the caring school nurse, who seemed always ready to help an ill or troubled child.

Those who had the good fortune to know her, will feel a sincere...

Lil was one of my favoite people. I admired her poetry, her many diverse interests and her positive attitude. She always livened up our monthly Chi Omega bridge gatherings. The world has lost a unique leader and we will miss our treasured friend. Please accept my condolences your loss. Marti Garvin Timmons

I did not know my Autn Lillian, but my father, her brother Jud, spoke very highly of her and obviously admired her and passed this onto me an my brothers. It is very hard to loose a mother and my heart and prayers go out to you, Penny and Janet.

Sorry for your loss.

Penny,
My deepest sympathies to you and your family on the loss of your mother. I remember her fondly. When I became a nurse, I sometimes asked myself what your mother would do in a given situation. Please contact me, I would love to see you. Lori Cunningham Workman
