Lillian Boshard Obituary

Great Falls, MT-Lillian R. Boshard, 97 of Great Falls passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 23, 2015 at the Grandview assisted living.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior, at the LDS 5th Ward, 1401 9th St NW, Great Falls, MT. Burial to follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
Lillian was born September 6, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arthur James and Rebecca (Wilson) Rogers. She grew up and attended schools in Salt Lake City, graduating from West High School. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She married Joseph Thomas Alfrey in Salt Lake City in 1938. To their union two sons, Joseph Thomas, Jr. and Roger James were born. The family resided in Salt Lake City. Joseph passed away in August 1967.
In 1969, Lillian and Clifford Boshard were married in Las Vegas. They made their home in Salt Lake City and later St. George, Utah until Clifford passed away in November 1998. Lillian then relocated to Salt Lake City and then to Great Falls, MT.
During her career, she excelled as an administrative assistant in the healthcare field working in the office of Dr. Kirk. She later moved into insurance working for Blue Cross/Blue Shield until her retirement.
In her free time Lillian enjoyed participating in sports, particularly bowling and golf. She also cherished time spent sewing, crocheting, and doing needle-point, she had trouble with the knitting however. In the kitchen she was famous for her Yorkshire pudding and rice pudding - always remembering to stir clockwise! Lillian's sense of humor will be greatly missed by all.
Lillian loved her family - as her children were growing up she was an active Cub Scout den mother. She was also a primary teacher. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, she took great pride in all of their endeavors; sports, school and musical prowess.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph Thomas (Sharon) Alfrey, Jr. of Great Falls, MT ; Roger James (Susan) Alfrey of Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Trever (Dani) Alfrey of Seattle, WA; Oliver (Jennifer) Alfrey of Phoenix, AZ; Gaven Alfrey of Great Falls, MT; Ethan (Stephanie) Alfrey of Seattle, WA; Katerrie Alfrey of Missoula, MT; Heather Neff of Pinedale, WY; Cydnee Gaskolski of Pinedale, WY; Lindsay (Brad) George of Salt Lake City; Leslie (Tyler) Ropelato of Salt Lake City; and Camie Webster of Salt Lake City. Her step-son, Donald J. (Carole) Boshard of St. George, UT; and their children, Pitrice (John) Sanford of Las Vegas; Ryan (Jessie) Boshard of Las Vegas; and Brecken (John) Jackson of St. George, UT. Lillian leaves a lasting legacy of 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
