Not sure what to say?

Last year I wrote that my family remembered Lillian as we grew up. It really was a lot more than that. I still have fond (and sheepish) memories, because there wasn't a time when I didn't know her. I still think of her often and try to apply as many of the life lessons she taught and shared.

Lillian Kimura was a mentor and a long time friend of my parents. As kids she would take us downtown for lunch, Kungsholm, and Christmas shopping. She was a stern teacher as we grew up, but I will always remember those life lessons.

As an alum of the YWCA's Goodman program for mentally ill women, I am grateful to Ms. Kimura for her tireless work for women like me. Her service to others will be her legacy.

Lillian Kimura was a powerful leader in the YWCA movement nationally and globally. She kept our focus on the justice work to be done. Lillian would often tell me that she was the "most patient impatient" person I would ever know. She was right because she never hesitated to stand up, speak out and educate. We are eternally grateful for the life she so well lived. With deepest sympathy to her loving family.

Heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Lillian Kimura on her passing. She was a graceful, yet strong advocate for rights of others. May her legacy and memory comfort you and May the God of comfort sustain and strengthen you.

My deepest condolences to the family. May you find comfort in your treasured memories of Your loved one and May God continue to comfort you in the days, months and years ahead.

My condolences to the Kimura family, may God be with all of you as you go through this very difficult time of your loss.

May the memories carry you through this very difficult time.My condolences to the family. May God fulfill his promise of binding up the brokenhearted. (Isa 61:1.)
