Lil Corrigan--Presente!

Indeed Lil's spirit was present throughout the joyful celebration of her generous life during the April 15th memorial service, so thoughtfully planned in part by Lil and also by loving family who hosted the event beautifully. Thank you all.

And thank you Lil for your abundant love and continuing inspiration as you call all creation into Beloved Community, reminding us, as the song proclaims, "We all are family/ and I want to live in peace with you." So...

You will be missed Lil. You were an inspiration to me when I lived in GA and a support! We will all have to work harder for peace and justice. Lorraine, Grandmothers for Peace

My mother spoke of you often around our dinner table. I felt as if I knew you personally and your unending fight for the rights of all people. You were an inspiration for many people, including those of us who only knew you by name.

My deepest sympathies for your family. May you find comfort in the words of Jeremiah 29:11-12, "For I myself well know the thoughts that I am thinking toward you...thoughts of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a future and a hope. And you will certainly call me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." Do not let go of the hope that she dearly held on to for it is not in vain.

My deepest sympathy to the family

My condolences to Lil's family -- and also my gratitude to you, for sharing your mother with so many who grew to love her and your father through the SOA Watch work. Lil was, and still is, a very bright light. She has changed but she is with us still.

Benning ,GA which houses the infamous School of the Americas. Arm in arm singing, we marched together risking arrest. I felt safe with Lil. She was 75 at the time. Lil's greatest gift was her humility. I asked her about her pending death a few weeks ago and in fashion she told me she was going back to the stars. She called it "Stardust. Lil Corrigan, a...

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
