Just learned about Mrs. Dowdell. You have my sympathy. I am so sorry. She and I spent many years together teaching at Finley School and I often wondered where she was. May she rest in peace.

Mrs. Dowdell was a lady of integrity and possessed a sincere heart for her chosen profession of teaching. I will always remember her as she touched my life tremendously during the initial launch of my formulative years at Finley Elementary School. Thank you for what you planted in me; those values still live and I'll pass them on to those whom I encounter. Job well done God's faithful Ambassador, we will miss you tremendously.
