Not sure what to say?

Lillian was my aunt, my mom´s sister(Mildred Hague Colley), and she was so generous, kind, informative to me and my brother and sister. She used to give me a silver dollar as a reward for making all "A" `s on my report card. And she was always so fun to be around. She called my mom "Mutt", a very endearing nickname. Lillian and Rex, her husband, always made it a point to visit with us every opportunity she had to do so. One of my teammates on our Paris Junior College baseball team had Lillian...

My aunt Lillian was always so good and generous to me. She was extremely smart and encouraged me to study and do well in academics.

My goal in your class was not only to learn the material and make an "A," but to never disappoint you. I can correctly use semicolons and know how to analyze literature so as to derive the greatest enjoyment from any genre. As a teacher for over 20 years, though I never taught Language Arts, I am able to teach my Science students proper grammar; that is due in large part to your demand for excellence and your desire to push me beyond what I thought I was capable of doing. You touched me. I...

My sincerest condolences to the Family. Mrs. Hardison was a truly fine teacher and a fantastic person. I often think of her and her famous quotations.

Sincerly,

I have always loved reading the classic literary authors such as Dickens, the Bronte sisters, George Eliot, and many more. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Mrs. Hardison for helping to develop this love I have for literature. I was able to make good grades in Mrs. Mischen's literature classes my senior year because I had such a wonderful start with Mrs. Hardison in 10th grade. Thank you for taking me on the journey with Pip in Great Expectations, and understanding the depth of Silas Marner....

Mrs. Hardison you are a true gem-a one of a kind lady. I have so many fond memories of you here in East Plano and at Williams High School. I will forever cherish your memory and look forward to running into you in Heaven on one of our walks. Until then know you were loved on Earth! Suzanne Hall-Cole Class of '82 (Plano, TX)

She was a faithful supporter of The Hopewell Cemetery Association in Franklin County, where she grew up in Mt.Vernon. God Bless Her.

Mrs. Hardison was a wonderful teacher. She scared me to death sometimes but boy, I did learn grammar! She was the embodiment of what a special teacher is and I have never forgotten her.

Mrs. Lillian Hardison taught me 2 years of high school English, and 2 years of Spanish, the only foreign language taught in the Plano schools in the early '50's. She loved these subjects and she was a friend to her students. There were only about half a dozen students in these Spanish classes so we had fun and got a lot of practice. As my neighbor, Mrs. Hardison always welcomed my visits to her home when I was a boy and on into my eighth decade. I shall miss her lovely smile and drawl,...
