Lillian Kathrine Stolin was born May 12, 1917, in Corder, Mo. She was the third of five children born to Frank and Matilda (Thiewes) Stolin.

The Stolin family moved to Latourell Falls in the Columbia River Gorge when Lillian was 3 years old....
