Lillian Matuska

Lillian was a very sweet lady and true Christian . I loved her so much. I have had her on my mind so much lately and now I know why. I am so sorry for the family's loss. I have many memories of her and will never forget her.

I met Lillian when my husband and I were pastors at Lakeveiw Assembly. It was wonderful to have a dedicated prayer warrior as a member. She continued to send wonderful inspirational letters even after we moved on. I received a $2 gift as well. But I didn't know the story behind it. She will be missed.

I remember Lillian Matuska! She would host and teach our young adults in-home bible study group in her house. She was my first mentor in the 1980s. I was in my 20s. She is the sweetest and kindest and a woman full of faith. She is a precious soul who loved her saviour. My heart goes out to the family, may the God of peace comfort you during this time.

Sweet Miss Lillian.... she was my Sunday School teacher in first and second grade. I still have the $2.00 bills she used to give me on my birthdays as a child. I've always loved her and I can't wait to see her in Heaven some day!

I remember Lillian, when my son was about 3 or 4 yrs old at Lincoln Little learners pre-school. she was the Sunlight in the early morning hrs always happy to see the kids come in, her structure in class was appreciated how they all loved her. Ms. Lillian. you made an impression and impact on those you touched in some way or another. RIP.

I met Mrs. Matuska in the late summer of 1980 when she dropped her youngest son at college. Sometimes I would visit their home. She was always a gracious hostess. Though she would leave early for work, she would place out on the kitchen table an assortment of fruit and cereals. I appreciated her thoughtfulness.

As the years went by we would occasionally exchange letters. She would enclose a bookmark or news clipping of some importance. She may mention a prayer topic or End Times...

May the God of all comfort strengthen the family during this time of deep sorrow. Those who pass on, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. My sincerest condolences. Psalms 116:15. -
