Obituary

TREASTER, Lillian Cox, 85, of Richmond, went to be with her Lord on December 9, 2007 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Blanchard B. and Margaret Cox; and her brother, Russell Cox. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles; her children, John H. (Leslie) and Barbara Owen (John) of Richmond. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Laurie Rilee (Eric), Kerry Knapp (Michael), Lee McFarland, Kevin McFarland, Michael Burnette and Casey Treaster; four great-grandchildren, Hayden and Hudson Rilee, Taylor and Carson Knapp; brothers, Robert Cox (Floyd), and B.B. Cox (Frances); and sister-in-law, Ann Cox. Lillian was a retiree of A.H. Robins. Mrs. Treaster was a dedicated volunteer at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens and St. Andrews Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Monday (today), December 10, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 2 p.m. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
