Not sure what to say?

My name is Lupe I am 5 years old and Diana Mafi is my Grammie. I went to Tooele with my Grammie on a road trip and ate lunch with Ruth. She was so nice and funny. She also came to watch me and my sister Fiana sing at our church for Christmas with a big smile!

---My name is Tiffany, I am Lupe's Mom and Diana's daughter. When I think of Ruth I picture her ever so sweet smile and humor that had a little kick of southern spice that I absolutely loved! She was a very dear friend to...

Lillie (Baby) Ruth Lucas, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2003.
I first met this lady some 55 years ago and 13 months later became her brother-in-law. The first years of our lives were not as close for Pat and I were transferred to Richmond, Virginia. Visits, letters and phone calls were about it. Then her husband, Buddy, passed away in 1960, the same year we were transferred back to Birmingham. Our relationship changed to almost a daily basis. Baby Ruth was busy...

I remember my sister Baby Ruth as a lady having a strong will and a caring heart. She gently cared for her husband during his long bout with cancer, she tended to the needs of my grandparents, she helped my sister Pat care for my mother and she daily cared for our Aunt Ruth who lived with her. She came to Texas when my young daughter had surgery that left her disabled. She encouraged me to let my daughter do whatever she could for herself and for me to stand aside. Today my daughter remembers...

My sister Baby Ruth was a very vital part of my life for the past 50 years. I remember all the good breakfasts she prepared. She was the best biscuit maker ever. We shared Sunday dinner after church regularly. I remember her beautiful flowers, especially her roses and peonies. I remember her love for yard work. I remember her tradition of giving cashew nuts to Patrick my son on Christmas, he recalled that just today. I remember her ongoing “feud” with Bill, my husband, her brother-outlaw as...

Ruth was a great blessing to our little church. Being from Alabama myself (Trussville area), she was a reminder of home and sweet Southern grandmothers. Thank you for letting us have her for a little while. She will be greatly missed by us but as she always said, "See you on the other side"! We love you, Ruth. The Williamson family from Cornerstone Baptist Church

Ruth Lucas was a very special lady who was the best friend a person could have. In addition to being friends, we were sisters in Christ. She and I could talk about anything because she knew how to look up scripture in her Bible to help us have an understanding of what the Lord would have to say about a given situation. Ruth and I had the best of times together, crocheting, visiting, shopping, attending church and going places. I will miss her greatly and wouldn't of wanted to miss what she so...
