Lillie Saxon Obituary

Lillie Mae Saxon November 5, 1918 - January 10, 2010 COLUMBUS, GA— Lillie Mae Saxon, age 91, resident of Columbus, died on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside services are scheduled at Parkhill Cemetery on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Mrs. Saxon, daughter of the late Allen Moses Martin and Emma Pippins Martin, was born November 5, 1918 in Dothan, AL.  She was retired from Bibb Manufacturing where she faithfully served for over 30 years. Mrs. Saxon was preceded in death by her husband Edmond Saxon. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Gloria Troutt of Cataula, GA; a step-son, Andy Saxon of Hamilton, GA; five grandchildren, Veronica Giles of Powder Springs, GA, Victoria Weaver of Columbus, Valerie Weems of Beauregard, AL, Victor Troutt of Columbus, and Andrea Saxon, also of Columbus; seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
