Broomhead Funeral Home - Riverton Obituary

Lily Xiao Wang, aged 58, of Riverton passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones on November 23, 2017, after battling a rapid and aggressive cancer. Lily was born on November 11, 1959 at 11:11 AM in Nanchang, China to the late Chuanjun Xiao and Ande Li.
Lily was an avid reader and also enjoyed listening to the soulful music of Adele and Lionel Richie. She had been looking forward to watching the next season of Master of None as well as exploring a number of popular restaurants in New York City.
As a holder of two master's degrees, in electrical engineering and computer science, she worked as a Level 5 Software Engineer for L-3 Communications. Her lifelong dream had been to move closer to her children after retirement and to care for future grandchildren.
Lily is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years Shijie, whom she met during her undergraduate studies; her son Matt and daughter-in-law Sooihn; her daughter Nancy, for whom she cheered at every swim meet; and her two Shih Tzus Toby and Coco, who brought her so much joy. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
Ever humble and selfless, Lily requested a modest Funeral Service, which will be held on December 1, 2017 at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 S. 2200 W. Riverton, UT at 11:00 A.M.
Lily was devoted to God and a dedicated member of her local church. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life within the community will be conducted on December 23, 2017 at the Salt Lake Christian Center at 3:00 PM.
If desired, memorial donations may be sent in her name to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Though she is already sorely missed, we will carry her in our hearts forever.
