Not sure what to say?

Dear Peter,
In the midst of internet research which involved some of your written works from Parsons, I stumbled across this devastating news. I remember when you spoke about your daughter, Lily, often at studio and I want you to know that she will be remembered by all who met her or just had the opportunity to hear about her, as I did. You are truly my mentor and my favorite teacher at Parsons.
My heart is with you and your wife at this time and always,
Love
Lily

unhappy that you died...but VERY happy, Lily, that you LIVED

I just saw your photo once and yet, am sorry for your loss.

My name is Julie Pincus and I went to high school with Lily. How utterly tragic and unjust that she has passed. She was so inspiring to me, as a painter in Angelo's painting class, as a poet in the English classes we had together, and in her original essence, as I watched her at school. I had never met anyone like her. She will always be alive for me. I hope that, someday, in my own art, I can create a just testament to her unforgettable talents and soul. Please accept my genuine...

I wish I had known you. Now you are everywhere.

Dear Eliza and Peter,
I was Lily's first grade teacher at Saint Ann's and to this day have
such vivid memories of her: her passion, will, precociousness
and awe-inspiring spirit.

Never had I imagained I would meet a six year old who could deconstruct feminism and objectification in small person terms -- which she did when she told me she resented that the boys only wanted to be her partner for park because she was pretty. So she stopped wearing dresses and cut her hair. Do...

Dear Peter and family: I am so very, very sorry for your terrible loss. We know your indescribable pain, unfortunately, firsthand. There is absolutely nothing worse than the loss of a child. I wish you strength to endure the dark days ahead.
