Linda Kay Amos, 78, of Wichita Falls, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025.
A Celebration of Linda’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2025 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
Linda was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on May 30, 1947 to the late Thornton Edward and Erma Lee (Smith) Amos. She graduated from S.H. Rider High School in June of 1965. She began working for various contractors for the 80th Flying Training Wing at Sheppard AFB, Texas in June of 1968 where she worked in various office positions. In May of 1979, Linda attended Chanute AFB, Illinois and trained to become an Oil Analysis Specialist. She received many Safety Maintenance Awards and Employee of the Month for two different months. She continued that position until her retirement in November 2009.
Linda enjoyed listening to music, reading and making beaded jewelry. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Amos; and her sisters, Patricia Amos Duerson, and Wanda Amos Frezon.
She is survived by her sister, Billie Spitzack; her brother, T.E. Amos; and several nieces, nephews and family who loved her dearly.
