Vaughn Funeral Home - Spring City Obituary

Linda M. Bolen age 75 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at her residence.


She was born on March 28, 1949 to the late Andrew and Louise Mooney and has lived in this area since 1972. Linda worked as a secretary at her husband’s business Bolen Construction for many years. She also worked at NAPA Auto Parts in Spring City for several years and owned and operated a greenhouse as well. Linda’s last job was the secretary at Wolf Creek Baptist Church of which she was a member. She served in many capacities as an active member of her church. Linda was also active in the Rhea County Crewettes and the Spring City Fire Department. 


Linda is also preceded in death by her brothers Sam and Donnie Mooney.


Survivors include her husband Jim Bolen of Spring City, Tennessee; her children James (Brenda) Bolen, Cindy (Randy) Runyan, and Jennifer (David) Johnson all of Spring City, Tennessee; her brother George Mooney of Hollywood, Florida; her eleven grandchildren Sheila, Amelia, Roxanne, David, Amanda, Aaron, Katie, Joe, Willie, Amber, and Cody; and her 12 great grandchildren. 


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Wolf Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Wolf Creek Baptist Church.


In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Wolf Creek Baptist Church, 5225 Wolf Creek Road, Spring City, TN 37381, or the Rhea County Rescue Squad, 260 McGoffinAve., Spring City, TN 37381 in her memory.

Aunt Linda was one of my favorite family members i loved when she and Uncle Jim would came into town to visit going to church with me and my grandma Louise. I was honored to have such a beautiful inside and out Aunt you will be missed Aunt Linda and hey can you give Grandma a big kiss for me.

She was a very special person to me..She was my Prayer buddy..I am going to miss her ....she is our Angel looking down on us now...Prayers for the family Love ya....

Linda was one of the sweetest people I had the pleasure of knowing. She was very caring and genuine. God truly gained an angel. My prayers are with her family as they lay her to rest. RIP sweet lady, you will be missed by many.

Were so sorry to hear Mrs. Bolen passed away I've lived in the community of St Clair and Toestring all my 58 years she's always been here as long as I can remember I remember shopping in the greenhouse just a lovely person condolences to her Husband and lovely Family

She was a beautiful lady in side and out a heart of gold ever time we see one one another we talk about when I babysit for her I love listening to her album the Supremes was my favorite one me and Cindy would dance around the house Cindy I will always she your mom sweet ways ever time I talk to you I’m sorry y’all will be in my prayers
