Mrs. Linda M. (Weddle) Bonebrake, 61, of 350 South Potomac Street, Waynesboro, PA, passed away at 6:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in her home. She had been in failing health for the past year and critically ill for the past three weeks. Born June 3, 1949 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Paul Morrison and Gladys Mae (Shockey) Weddle. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area, graduating from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1967. She and her second husband of 27 years, Mr. Ray Alan Bonebrake, were married in 1983. In her early life, Mrs. Bonebrake was employed at Hess Manufacturing, Quincy, PA. She later worked as a waitress at Eagles Club, Inc., Waynesboro and for Big Apple Market, Rouzerville, PA. Along with her daughters, Michele and Cris, Mrs. Bonebrake worked in the cafeteria at Landis Tool Company, Waynesboro for many years. She also was an Avon Representative for over 27 years. She was a member of Women of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, both of Waynesboro and National AARP. Mrs. Bonebrake enjoyed playing cards and BINGO, assembling jigsaw puzzles, spending time with her grandchildren and loved dogs and cats. She was a fan of Ford Mustangs and NASCAR, especially Mark Martin. She also was an avid collector of wolves, wind chimes, dream catchers, and carousels. In addition to her second husband, she is survived by four children, Christina Marie (Murphy) Hawbaker and her husband, Daniel of Waynesboro, Brian Eric Murphy of Mechanicsburg, PA, Michele Dawn (Murphy) Dale and her husband, Mark of Waynesboro and Kaleb Renee Bonebrake of Waynesboro; ten grandchildren, Tabitha, Fantasia, Shianne, Alexandra, Alyssa, Matthew, Jade, Mikayla, Daniellerae and Jordan; three sisters, Pauline Diffenbaucher of Greencastle; and Paula Moats and Deborah Shreve, both of Waynesboro; one brother, Eugene M. Weddle of Everett, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar R. Murphy, Jr. who died in 1982; an infant brother, Stephen M. Weddle; and a grandson, Aaron Michael Dale. Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, September 20, 2010 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Sunday evening in the funeral home.
