WEBER CITY, VA - Linda G. Bowen, 79 of Weber City, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Holston Valley Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Linda was the daughter of the late Willie and Mollie Johnson Lawson. She was a faithful Christian and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was an amazing cook known especially for her chicken & dumplings, soup beans, cornbread and apple pie. In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Warner and her brothers, George Caudill, John M. Caudill, Elmer Lawson, Andrew Lawson, Ed Lawson, Lee Lawson and James Lawson.

Linda is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerry L. Bowen; daughter, Angie Wolfe Mullins (Charlie); grandchildren, Cortney Wolfe and Katie Holder (Tommy); honorary grandchildren, Madison Combs and A.J. Smith.; sisters, Rosetta Ridley, Mary Miles and Shirley Akens (Kenneth); brothers, William Lawson and Sherman Lawson; brother-in-law, Billy Bowen (Janet); sister-in-law, Bulah Williams (Charles); several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 2:00 PM at McKinney-Carter Cemetery (1481 Fraleytown Road, Duffield, VA 24244). Pastor David Powers will be officiating. Music will be provided by Tommy Holder & Cortney Wolfe. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those wishing to attend the graveside are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 PM.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to nurse Allison from ICU at Holston Valley Medical Center and neighbor Mark Sampson.
