CHEATHAM Linda Cheatham Service Wednesday Linda Cheatham passed away on Aug. 6, 2008. Visitation is on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Cotton Funeral Service, 1025 Bergen St., Newark. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside.

I remember as a child playing together, she had a motherly spirit about her. I felt safe with her, no one bothered me or us. I was very small for my age, and she took me by the hand ... I saw her many years later as an adult and asked her if she remembered me ... to my surprise she said yes, I cried...
