Linda V. Davis
MANSFIELD: Linda Veronica Davis, 62, passed this life on Saturday, August 8, 2015 in Ohio Health MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness.
Ms. Davis was born on Monday, July 27, 1953 to the late Joe and Bama Lee (Coleman) Davis, Jr. in Blair, South Carolina, moving to Mansfield as an infant. Linda was a member of the Malabar graduating class of 1971, the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, and was formerly employed by Interstate Optical until she became disabled in 2010. She enjoyed roller skating at the Coliseum back in the day, music,reading, word puzzles and games, and movies. Most of all Linda enjoyed being a big sister, mother, grandmother, and a "big cousin".
Linda is survived by her four sons, Paris (Teiara) Davis of Pensacola, Florida, Julian Pasquale Davis, Da'ton and Joseph Stormer, Mansfield; her significant other, Willie Stormer, Mansfield; three sisters, Dorothy Coleman, Cleveland, Winifred Davis, Columbia, South Carolina, and Tracy Davis, Mansfield; brother, Julian (Sandra) Stephon Davis, Mansfield; 23 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one niece; six nephews; 11 aunts; four uncles; one great aunt; and numerous cousins and extended family.
In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Joe and Mary (Camak) Davis, Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Lemuel and Bama (Hopkins) Coleman.
Friends may call Friday, in the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Celebration of Life Service. Dr. Derek Williams will be officiating and Linda's cousin Rev. Eddie McConnell of South Carolina will deliver the eulogy.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 248 Park Ave. West, 44902
