Linda Edelman

Loudon, NH - Linda Edelman, a woman of profound determination, artistic spirit, and deep devotion to her family, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, with her loved ones by her side following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Born on August 23, 1941, in the Bronx, New York, Linda's natural brilliance was evident early on. A gifted artist, she attended the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and later honed her craft as a member of the Art Students League in New York City. Her creative soul remained a defining part of her identity throughout her life.

It was a French tutoring session with a cousin that led Linda to the love of her life, Ira Edelman. That meeting sparked a partnership that spanned over six decades; the couple recently celebrated an extraordinary 63 years of marriage, a testament to their enduring bond.

Linda was a woman who never stopped growing. At the age of 35, she returned to school to pursue a career in nursing. Through tireless hard work, she rose to become the Director of Nursing at Havenwood Nursing Home and served in leadership roles at various other healthcare facilities in the Concord, NH area. Her career was defined by the same care and tenacity she brought to every aspect of her life.

Faith and community were cornerstones of Linda's world. She was a lifelong member of Hadassah and an active member of Temple Beth Jacob in Concord, where she dedicated many years to the Sisterhood and various volunteer efforts.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Florence Dombrow; her brother, Alan; and her brother-in-law, Sanford Edelman.

Her legacy lives on through her devoted husband, Ira; her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Claudia Dombrow; and her children: son Glenn, daughter Stephanie (Richard), and daughter Jennifer (Michael). She was the cherished grandmother of Jack, Ava, Lila, Drew, and Will, and a beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her lifelong friends, Ronald and Deborah Boyarsky and Elliot and Arlene Schwartz.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Temple Beth Jacob, 67 Broadway, Concord, NH.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Linda's memory to Temple Beth Jacob

Not sure what to say?

To The Edelman Family, I'm so sorry for your loss, "Mrs. E" was such a great surrogate mom over the years...I have very fond memories of hanging out at your house, with Loolie (sp) too! Linda was always very honest, open, and had a great sense of humor! Her love and kindness always on display! My condolences to all of you, especially "Mr. E"

My thoughts are with your family. Linda was a wonderful woman and I enjoyed the time I did get to spend with her and Ira

Dear Stephanie, Ira, Jen and Glen, Our deepest sympathies and condolences. May Linda´s memory bring you peace in the days to come. All our love, Lynne and Jim Sakanich

I work with Linda at the nursing home she was a nice nurse to work with

My family and I wanted to send our deepest condolences to Ira and the entire Edelman and Dombrow Families and friends. I remember Linda's live spirit, always full of energy, witty and fun-loving. The Edelmans were like a second family; from our days as close neighbors in Monsey to our visits to New City, NY to our years in NH; Linda was always at the heart of it. Smart, sensible, but always welcoming with food at the ready, always with a warm smile, always interested in what you had to say...

Ira, Glenn, Jennifer, and Stephanie....God´s blessings in your grief. I am sorry for your loss.

Offering our deepest condolences at this difficult time.
