Linda Edstrom Obituary

Linda Louise Edstrom, 75 of Greeley, CO passed away peacefully on October 8, 2023, in the home of her loving daughter. She was born in Greeley on August 7, 1948, to Arthur and Juanita Larson, the second of four children. Linda attended Auburn and College High before earning a double major in social work and mathematics from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. She mastered many careers, but she found her greatest achievements in dairy farming alongside her husband Harold, as well as owning and operating her own donut shop, another endeavor they took on together. Linda married Harold, the love of her life in 1974. The following year, they started their family. Their world revolved around their children as Linda loved being a mother. The only thing she loved more was being a grandmother. She had a megawatt smile and truly lit up whenever she saw her grandkids. She quickly became their biggest fan for all of their sports and activities. Everyone who knew Linda, knows how much she loved creating beautiful gifts by hand. She was especially gifted at crocheting and blessed many loved ones with crocheted gifts. She had an unwavering faith and loved God and her family. She is survived by her sisters, Nancy (Ed) Walker of Silvis, Illinois and Alice (Ron) Richardson of Greeley, CO. She left a legacy behind including her five children Steven (Ashley) Edstrom, Gary Edstrom, Dawndee (Loren) Schmunk and Anne (Nick) Nesmith all of Kersey, CO and Brenda (Nick) Findell of La Salle, CO. 12 grandchildren Kayla and Rylee Schmunk, Braylon, Regan, Landree and Porter Edstrom, Noah Linn-Nesmith, Campbell, Andrew and Blake Edstrom and Henlee and Merrick Findell. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Edstrom, parents Art and Juanita Larson and brother Steven Larson. Services will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 10am at Immanuel Lutheran Church 1865 14th Ave, Greeley, CO. Internment at Sunset Memorial Gardens 3400 W 28th St, Greeley, CO. Lunch will be provided following the burial at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in care of Allnutt Funeral Services 6521 W 20th St, Greeley, CO 80634. Growing up we were neighbors of the Larson family. Nancy was my age, Linda was my sister, Diana's age, and Alice was my sister, Gayle's age. Like Gayle said they were just a fun family to be around. I remember a time when Juanita (their mother) took all us girls for an adventure in Estes Park.
I remember a time about 30 year's ago when Linda inquired about my posting on Craigslist for a dog kennel. I took it to them, and, I believe it was on the dairy farm where they lived at the time.
It sounds like Linda lived a full life of love!

I knew Linda as she was our neighbor in Junior High and High school just like my sister, Gayle, commented. She was in my other sister, Diana's grade.
Like Gayle mentioned they were a fun family to be around. I remember a time that their mother, Juanita, took us to Estes Park for an adventure. Just kind, kind people. It appears Linda had a full, full life and love with her husband and 5 children.
I remember a time, probably about 30 years ago when she answered an ad of mine on Craigslist that was for a dog crate. I took it to her and had a nice visit at that time.

I am so sorry to read of your moms passing. She was one of the most bubbly and upbeat people. She was such a joy to talk to. We would refer to her as "the donut lady". May you all be blessed with wonderful memories in the difficult days ahead. Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers. Henry & Ann Giesick , Aaron & Amanda Giesick(former East Memorial students)

The Larsons were my familie's neighbors for my junior high and high school years. They became my second family and I loved spending time in their household. Linda's youngest sister, Alice, was my age and she became my best friend. Linda being her older sister, became my sister by extension. She was always a steady, calm, cheerful presence. I will keep her in my heart forever. She is loved by many.
My sincere condolences to her real family. She was a gift to the world.

Steven and Dawndee: Love and blessings to all your family! Your mother was one of my favorite EM parents. She always came to conferences and other school activities on your behalf. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you say your last "good-bye" on Tuesday. She is wrapped in God'd loving arms.
