Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC - Pen Argyl Obituary

Linda S. Emili, 69, of Clearwater, Fl, formerly of Pen Argyl, Pa, passed away, Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at St. Petersburg General Hospital, St. Petersburg, Fl.  Linda was born on October 16, 1951, in Easton, Pa to Assunta (Marr) Gellock and the late Carmen Cuono.  She was a 1969 graduate of Pen Argyl High School, and went on to study at Empire Beauty School of Easton.  She also studied Business Management at Reading Area Community College.  Prior to her retirement, Linda was the owner/hairstylist at The Ultimate Cut in Pen Argyl, Pa, and taught cosmetology at the Career Institute of Technology in Easton, Pa.

Linda cherished her time as a member of the Pen Argyl Color Guard, and continued her dedication to the school by serving on the Pen Argyl class of 1969 reunion committee. She enjoyed volunteering for the Easton State Theater and at Musikfest.  Linda was very involved in her children’s lives – she never missed her son’s wrestling matches, coached her daughter’s cheerleading team, and could always be found on the sidelines of her children and grandchildren’s events.  Linda loved the beach and enjoyed gazing out at the ocean with her toes in the sand when living in Chincoteague, Va and Clearwater, Fl.  She was an avid New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved doing her NFL picks.  Linda was a vibrant, charismatic, and loving woman, and she will be most remembered for the dedication and love she had for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Assunta Gellock, of Virginia Beach, Va; her daughters Dena Todaro and her husband Michael of Nazareth, Christine Sandt and her partner Paul Boruch of Bath, and Alicia Emili of Bethlehem; her son David Emili Jr. and his wife Alyssa of Easton; grandchildren Rocco Todaro, Nico and Mia Emili; brother Jeff Albert of Effort, and sister Lorenda Cuono-LaCroce of Norwich, Ny; nephew Jeffrey Albert of Lynchburg, Va; and many great nieces and cousins.  She is predeceased by her father Carmen Cuono, brother Barry Cuono, step-mother Elaine Cuono, and nephew Christopher Cuono.

Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service held from 12:30pm – 2pm on Saturday, October 23 in the Ruggiero Funeral Home, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl, Pa; immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at Wind Gap Vol Fire Company Social Hall, 111 N Broadway, Wind Gap, Pa.  Online condolences may be offered at www.ruggierofuneralhome.com.

She had a wonderful cheerful laugh and was fun to be with and made you feel comfortable. She enjoyed visits with my mom and dad which made them feel special. Dena, so sorry to hear the passing of your mother. Deepest condolences to you and your family

My condolences to Linda's family. Linda was my neighbor for a short time at Lutheran Manor, but after striking up conversations we felt we knew one another for years. She had confided her dream of living near the beach, and although I hated to see her move, I'm glad she got to live her dream.

RIP Linda, and condolences to the entire Cuono Family.
