Not sure what to say?

Dr. Farmer was a great advisor for me as I pursued a degree in Biology & Marine Science at UM & RSMAS. She was easy to talk to & always offered great advice & encouragement. Unfortunately I came across this by accident looking up research at RSMAS here in 2023. My condolences to Dr. Farmer´s family. She will be missed .

Dr. Farmer was on my thesis committee (M.S. graduate, 1990, from RSMAS). She was very encouraging, and I am not sure I could have done it without her! I was definitely in awe and admiration of Dr. Farmer. Rest in peace.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

So sorry to hear of Linda's passing. She was a great lady.

Bill and Mary,
So sorry to hear of Linda's passing. What an exciting life she lived! I would have enjoyed knowing her.

Linda was such a wonderful person, we shared many good times on the water. She was a brilliant scientist & a valiant warrior in her battle. I'm sorry she has left us but she isn't dead, she's in another dimension of life. She will always be with us. I pray peace/comfort find their way into the heart of her family.

Linda was one of UM's finest professors. Professional, fun, and supportive of all of her students and colleagues.

Linda was such a special person--always upbeat and such an inspiration to all the students whose lives she touched.

I was surprised and very saddened to learn of Linda's passing from the old RSMAS alumni grapevine. Although we were not particularly close, we were still distant friends and colleagues going back to friendships established during our grad school days at RSMAS. It was always wonderful to run into her at RSMAS when I visited Miami from California. She was a foundational part of RSMAS and U of M, and it is hard for me to think that she is no longer physically with us.
