It's been a little over a year since you said goodbye. It's seems like yesterday we were having lunch at Bernies. I still have your painting in my living room. Wanted to surprise you with it at Christmas. Think of you often. Rest in Peace.

Mom, I can't believe it's been a year since you left us. I've replayed that final night in my head a thousand times. I wish I knew the reality at that time because I would have told you that I loved you one last time before they took you to intensive care for "observation". I also replay the night before you passed. You liked what I was wearing and when I fed you some soup you told me I was the best daughter anyone could ever have. Happy belated birthday Mom. I was so sad that I was in China on a business trip and couldn't be there to visit you on your birthday. Mike and the kids brought you flowers and balloons.
